French fashion house GUNTHER presented the Spring Summer 2023 Menswear Collection with a show at Lycée Victor Duruy, during the recently finished Paris Fashion Week. For the collection, designer Naomi Gunther was inspired by vintage country club sports. The collection introduces a new form of masculinity, inspired by the legendary elegance of Gatsby and the luxury photographs of Slim Aarons. The collection offers a perect mix between the precious and the modern, the past and the present, the masculine and the feminine. Materials for this season switch from cotton, linen and organic cotton for day outfits and organza, silk and alpaca for evening wear.
SPRING SUMMER 2023 COLLECTION
For this new season, GUNTHER collaborates with the brand Apnée, an eco-responsible brand of swimwear made from plastic bottles collected in the Mediterranean Sea and on the beaches. For the jewelry collection, Naomi Gunther and Deborah Enkaoua imagine the GUNTHER man drawing jewelry from the women’s wardrobe, from the earrings to the pearl necklace, mixing the codes of women’s jewelry and evening wear with his own dressing room. Ties become sparkling, bow ties are made of metal, and fabrics become necklaces. Stones such as agate and cultured pearls are mixed with steel and rhinestones. – from Gunther
