MSGM presents “The Sea and I,” a cohesive collection that merges the men’s Spring Summer 2025 and Resort 2025 lines, in honour of the company’s 15th anniversary. Daniele Mango captured backstage moments for MMSCENE / DSCENE, providing a glimpse into the creative process behind this years showcase.
People were taken to the city’s outskirts on the second day of Milan Fashion Week to celebrate MSGM’s 15th anniversary with their most recent collections. Massimo Giorgetti has been infusing MSGM with his trademark flamboyance for 15 years, and this presentation was no different. The location, a stark white area with painted glass casings and graffiti, created the ideal atmosphere for a remarkable event. In an attempt to recreate the season’s vivid colour scheme and surprise the audience, artists threw paintballs in the colours blue, green, yellow, and red just before the concert started. Giorgetti’s interpretation of an oceanic theme in modern Italian life was reflected in the coed ensembles, which were accompanied by sounds of crashing waves and swarming bees. The collection began with a loose-fitting suit worn with a vivid red paper hat. Other pieces included trench coats made of patent leather, knit tops with geometric designs, and sea animal themes. When the MSGM x New Balance partnership first debuted, models wore mustard trainers with red laces, giving the look a more athletic vibe.
